Dr. James Burke Expanding Surgical Care to Fenton at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital

Board-certified orthopedic surgeon James S. Burke, Jr., M.D., of Orthopedic Associates has expanded his hospital affiliations and gained surgical privileges in Fenton. Being granted surgical privileges and serving on staff at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital enable Dr. Burke to offer expanded access to patients in addition to offering the Fenton community and surrounding areas specialized orthopedic care. Dr. Burke joins fellow Orthopedic Associates physicians Dr. Christopher Mudd, Dr. Christopher O’Boynick and Dr. Ryan Pitts on staff at St. Clare Hospital, which serves the medical needs of southwest St. Louis County.

As a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with over two decades of experience in surgical and nonsurgical care, Dr. Burke will bring advanced care options to the Fenton area. Dr. Burke’s specialized expertise includes:

Dr. Burke graduated from medical school at the University of Missouri at Kansas City and completed his internship at Loyola University in Chicago and his residency at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital. He joined Orthopedic Associates in 1995 right out of residency.

Dr. Burke is on the medical staffs of Des Peres Square Surgery Center, Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Luke’s Hospital and Madison Medical Center. Dr. Burke is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the St. Louis Orthopaedic Society. He also serves as a soccer coach, officiates soccer at the high school level and formerly served as a team physician for the St. Louis University Billikens.
