Dr. Gregory Nelson, a local board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, joins the team of experts at Orthopedic Associates as of March 1. Dr. Nelson is seeing patients at Orthopedic Associates’ main office, located at 1050 Old Des Peres Road, Suite 100. Utilizing his advanced training, Dr. Nelson specializes in shoulder, joint replacement and elbow surgery. Focused on alleviating pain and restoring function, Dr. Nelson offers a wide range of surgical and nonsurgical treatments. His expertise includes the following areas of specialized care:

After graduating from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Dr. Nelson attended Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, completing his Doctor of Medicine and his Master of Health Science degrees. After Yale, he underwent his orthopedic surgery residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Consortium in St. Louis. Dr. Nelson then further refined his skills through a shoulder and elbow surgery fellowship at The Rothman Orthopaedic Institute at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
